Sri Laasya Nutheti is a highly ambitious graduate student at Cornell University, with a passion for data science, python programming, and machine learning. With experience as a Research Intern at both MIT and IIT Madras, she has developed a strong foundation in the field and has worked on a range of real-world problems using machine learning. Laasya is a GHC '21 Scholar and has also worked on several front-end web development projects, created content for blogs and websites, and has experience working with startups and businesses. She believes that the most complex problems often have the simplest solutions, and she is driven by her desire to create impact with simple and sustainable solutions using technology. In addition to her technical skills, Laasya is also a traditional Carnatic singer and a creative artist, with aspirations of becoming a successful entrepreneur. She is a Research Intern at MIT where she is currently working on an ML-based facial emotion detection project. Laasya has also worked as a DSC Community Lead at Google Developers, where she helped her peers learn and connect, and as an MLH Mentor at Major League Hacking, where she taught computer science skills to more than 65,000 students around the world. Laasya has a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Andhra University, where she will be completing her penultimate year in 2022. She also has a High School degree from FIITJEE and attended Delhi Public School from 2006 to 2016. Laasya's tech stack includes Research Scientist, ML, Web, Python, Data Scientist, Neural Networks, and Frontend. With 1.19 years of relevant experience, Laasya is a highly skilled and motivated individual with a bright future ahead of her.
